Kelli Leigh Sims Weaver, age 55 of Bremen, gained her angel wings on Monday, August 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Carrollton, Georgia, on March 23, 1970, she was the daughter of William F. "Bill" Sims and the late Martha Jane Smith Sims. In addition to her mother, Kelli is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Lillian Smith and Newt and Lucille Sims.
A graduate of Paulding County High School, Kelli continued her education at Kennesaw State University, graduating with a BBA and MBA. Excelling in marketing, she owned her own marketing firm and helped many other firms grow their businesses. One of the highlights of her career was teaching business students at West Georgia Technical College. Kelli was a founding team member of Mill Town Music Hall where she spent many years. Kelli was known for her organizational skills, her creative thinking, and her drive for success. She leaves her mark on the West Georgia community. She worked hard and enjoyed every minute.
Kelli loved adventure. Whether it was for business or for pleasure, her bags were packed and ready at all times. Spending time with her family and friends was the highlight of her day. She was a doting aunt, great-aunt, and a wonderful sister. Kelli adored her friends, and they adored her bubbly personality and became a part of her family, too.
Kelli's greatest accomplishment was her sons. She was involved in all their activities and was their biggest cheerleader. A devoted mother, loving daughter and sister, Kelli will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Matthew and Andrew Weaver of Bremen; their father, Michael Weaver of Albany, her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Darlene Golden of Dallas; her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Darrell Cochran of Carrollton, and her sister in law, Sheri Weaver of Villa Rica. Also surviving are her precious nieces and nephews: Kayla (Josh) Register, Elisabeth (Jamie) Eaves, Brady (Kristen) Cochran, Lauren (Perry) Gulledge, Angela West, Heather (Cody) Burgess, and Emalee Weaver; her great-nieces and great-nephews: Ella Jane Register, Jackson Eaves, Juliana Cochran, Hadley Eaves, Grant Register, Reese Gulledge, Charlie Register, Lily Eaves, Molly Gulledge, Keslynn Cochran, Ava Gulledge, Lakelynn Cochran, and Cooper Register; as well as many wonderful friends.
A celebration of Kelli's life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. at Beulahland Baptist Church, 229 Pleasant Grove Road, Rockmart, GA 30153. Kelli will be laid to rest beside her mother at the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Josh Register, Brady Cochran, Perry Gulledge, Jamie Eaves, Jackson Eaves, Grant Register, and Charlie Register.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM. In honor of Kelli's bubbly personality, the family asks that those attending wear happy fun colors, and her favorite color was blue.
The family will graciously accept floral contributions, but those desiring to make a difference in the community are asked to give donations to help feed families. Kelli enjoyed taking her great nieces and nephews throughout the county filling the Blessing Boxes. You may drop your donation in the box provided at the service or make your check out to Sewell Mill, which is a non-profit 501(c)3, and mail to 126 Hamilton Ave, Bremen, GA 30110.
