Kelly Suttner

Kelly Suttner, 57, of Kiel, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024 with her family by her side. Kelly was born October 8, 1966, in Chilton, to Rudolph Wendling Sr. and the late Barbara (Pieper) Wendling. She graduated from Kiel High School. On June 21, 1986, she married Kevin Suttner. Kelly worked as a waitress for many years at both All-Seasons Restaurant in Elkhart Lake and The Diner in New Holstein. She was part of the Diner Clowns who marched in many area parades.
Kelly enjoyed being outdoors, especially going for walks, bicycle riding, doing yard work, and tending to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed doing crafts, especially diamond arts. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her father, Rudolph Wendling Sr. and her husband, Kevin, she is survived by her son, Corey (Sam) Suttner; her grandchildren, Tyson, Lucas and Elizabeth; her siblings, Mike Wendling, Todd Wendling, Kim Wendling and Tracy Wendling.
In addition to her mother, Barbara Wendling, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Suttner, her brother, Rudolph "Rudy" Wendling and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Carol Suttner.
A funeral service for Kelly will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th Street, Kiel). Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. when brief family rites will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the local hospitals, doctors and nurses that helped her with her many health challenges, especially, the staff at Century Ridge, Willowdale and Community Care. They would also like to thank everyone at St. Luke's Medical Center for keeping her comfortable in her last days.
