Kenneth Charles Branch, aged 65, of Irving, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2024. Born on September 26, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Kenneth Boyd Branch and Peggy Viola Branch, Ken grew up in a close-knit family atmosphere that formed the foundation of his joyful and adventurous spirit.
Ken attended Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas, where he quickly developed a knack for mechanical work, which steered him towards his initial career. Soon after graduation, he began working as a machinist at Storm Vulcan in Dallas, displaying a precision and care that marked all his subsequent professional endeavors. After several years, Ken transitioned to a role that mirrored his love for animals, joining the City of Irving's Animal Control Department. His dedication was evident as he worked there for 20 years, earning the respect and affection of his colleagues and the community, until his retirement in 2006.
Even after retirement, Ken's passion for animals never waned, as he continued to work with and care for them. He was also a man of many interests including hunting and fishing, which he often indulged in the tranquility of nature. Ken was skilled with his hands, enjoying woodworking and gardening, and he was an adept outdoor cook. His love for country and western music often found him on the dance floor, swirling to the tunes he adored.
Ken was a family man who cherished and nurtured the bonds of love with his family and friends. He leaves fond memories with his children, Rodney Branch of Grand Prairie, TX, and Madison Branch of Irving, TX; his devoted mother, Peggy Branch of Irving, TX; his loving sister, Regina Kenemore of Haslet, TX; and his brother, Rob Branch and sister-in-law, Rhonda Branch of Grapevine, TX. His presence will also be missed by his six nieces, one nephew, Bobbi Voll, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret Martin Branch, his father, Kenneth Boyd Branch, and his daughter-in-law, Neda Branch, Ken's legacy is etched in the hearts of those who loved him and the many lives he touched through his work and community involvement.
Ken's spirit, marked by generosity, kindness, and a zest for life, will be dearly missed but forever remembered with warmth and affection.

So many memories of Ken and Margaret. The way Ken sorta wrinkled up his nose when he laughed was precious. Love ya Ken.
