Kenneth Duane Cundy,
died on March 2, 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 90.
Ken was born on June 16, 1933, the son of Spencer and Alice (Davis) Cundy. He graduated from St. Charles High School, and soon joined the United States Army, where he pridefully served his country from 1953 until 1955. He married the love of his life, Yvonne Londry on December 10, 1955. They spent 53 years together before she preceded him in death in 2008.
Following his time in the service, he worked as a mechanic at General Motors for 25 years, until retiring in 1990. Ken also owned Cundy's White Rose Service Station in St. Charles for many years. He was an avid John Deere tractor collector and restorer. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting antiques, and going to auctions to see what goods he could find. He will be greatly missed by all his family.
Ken is survived by his sister, Donna Dankert; children, Chris (Maria Jordan) Cundy, Traci (Dan) Lilley, Lori Braiker, Lynnette (Damone) Chard, Brenda (Al) Ferrell, Joy (Rick) Theile; grandchildren, Duane Cundy, Janelle (Jason) Cline, Doug (Sarah) Lilley, Jordan (Luciana) Lilley, Jess (Steve) Seppi, Liv Braiker, Shannon (Austin) Gwinnup, Sarah (Kyle) Kocsis, Brianna (Josh) Chard, Brandon (Liz) Theile, Zachary (Sarah) Theile, Jared (Jessica) Theile, Paige Theile and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Cundy; brother, Reginald Cundy, and his parents, Spencer and Alice Cundy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Covenant VNA Hospice and the staff at Covenant 5 East for your care.
