Kenneth Dean Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 11, 2024.
Kenneth Edward Dean, affectionately known as Kenny, passed away on August 7, 2024. Born to Skip and Emilee Dean on January 4, 1972, Kenny touched so many people with his selfless and gentle nature throughout his 52 years.
A proud graduate of Old Mill High School in 1990, Kenny attended Georgia Tech and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering where he graduated first in his class. After college, he married his high school sweetheart, Kimberley, and together, they built a family, and a life filled with love and laughter. Kenny and Kimberley were married for 29 years and have two children Kaity and Drew.

Kenny was extremely intelligent and worked for the Federal Government for most of his career. He excelled at creating Strategic Visions and making his coworkers laugh through mundane days.
Kenny was always smiling and happy and loved to help others. He always had a joke to share and loved making his wife Kimberley laugh each day. He enjoyed taking photos and videos of nature and his cherished pets, playing Xbox (he would want you to have known that he achieved all of the highest challenges), following politics, and spending time with his family.
Kenny is survived by his parents Skip and Emilee, his brother Rick, his brother Sonny and his wife Melanie, his sister Angel and her husband Greg, his sister Laura, and her partner Jeff, his In-laws Dave and Carol, his sister-in-law Keri and her husband Wade, his brother-in-law Scott and his wife Kimber, and his brother-in-law Steve and his wife Indira. There are Eighteen nieces and nephews that will also feel his absence, and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
Kenny's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Kimberley, his children, Kaity and her partner Matt, Drew and his wife Karinne.
A service to honor Kenny's life will be held on August 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Baldwin Memorial Hall located at 1358 Millersville Road, Millersville, MD 21108. A reception will follow, where we hope that stories will be shared, and memories cherished. Reflecting on Kenny's life during the service will be a lifelong family friend, Reverend Lyons. Guest requested attire is tropical attire. Kenny's favorite colors were seafoam green and coral and liked pastels, and had requested that men refrain from wearing a tie at his life celebration.
Kenny will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His warmth, humor, and the joy he brought to every gathering will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ken loved his pets, in lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the SPCA

Uncle Ken was always the best to me. Cheerful and kind to me as his niece. I remember he would make the biggest splash with his cannonballs. As an adult we connected over the Matrix: he told me he wanted to change his name to 'Digital Rain' years ago and I have called him that since. My deepest condolences to my family, may his soul rest in peace.
