Kenneth Roger Goodenough, 86, died Friday morning at his home on Travino Ave, St. Augustine, FL.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11am on August 5th at Community Bible Church with reception at the church to follow. Burial Services will be held at Craig Memorial Park at 1:30pm. Memorials may be made to Gideons International of which he was a member for many years.
Mr. Goodenough was born December 4, 1938 in Paw Paw, MI to LeRoy and Christine (Buell) Goodenough. He was married to N. Jeannette Ray on January 30, 1960 and celebrated over 65 years together. He was employed by the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company from which he retired; was a founding member and deacon of Berean Baptist Church in Portage, MI; preached and taught at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission; and loved to pass out Bibles with the Gideons. He joined Community Bible Church soon after he and his wife moved to St. Augustine in 2018.
Survivors include: his wife Jeannette; one son Steven R. of Lawton, MI; two daughters Mrs. Christian (Christine E.) Goodenough de Lillo of Fairfax, VA and Mrs. Bryan (Rebecca J.) Richardson of St. Augustine, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother LeRoy, and his sister Ruthane.
