Kenneth Dale Holm, 73, of Wooster, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. Kenny (as he was known to most) was born March 14, 1950 in Wooster, Ohio to Leland Walter and Mary May {Evans} Holm. He graduated from Waynedale High School then went on to serve in the US Air Force from 1971 to 1975. He was married to Sharen Gearhart-Holm for almost 35 years until she passed away in 2022. Kenny worked as a truck driver and mechanic for many years. In his spare time, he loved to race dirt cars and dragstrips in Delaware and Florida respectively. He was a racing fan, enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns, Ohio State football and WWE, scoping out yard sales and especially spoiling his dogs Oreo and Georgia. Kenny was very patriotic, loved his country, and was proud of his time in service to his country.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by his children Dora (Wayne) Hurd of Delaware, Lesley (Lionel) Castillo of Texas, Mitzi (Stephen) LaPaugh of Virginia and Leland (Nicole) Holm II of Delaware; grandchildren Andres, Heather, Leon, Conner and Evan; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Leeah and Josafina; brothers Gary, Mike and Duane; sisters Luella, Betty, Theresa, Karen and Patty as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharen, son Lonnie, parents Lee and Mary Holm and Dick and Nellie Jeandervin, as well as siblings Jimmy, David, Linda, Martha and Rhonda.
Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family. Memorial services will be held May 2, 2024 at 2 pm at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Kenneth-Holm), where military rites will be held.
