Kenneth L. Kliewer

Kenneth Lloyd Kliewer, age 92, of Holly, MI, passed from this life on October 3, 2024. Kenneth was born in Pontiac, MI, on January 27, 1932, to his parents Abraham and Viola (Claus) Kliewer. He was survived by his children: Kenneth D. (Maria) Kliewer, Kristine (Kevin) Mowbray, Kelly (Monte) Sullivan and Kacy (Darin) Kliewer-Shoaff; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eugene, his wife Carole and a stillborn daughter. Ken worked at General Motors Truck and Coach in Pontiac until his retirement in 1990. He served proudly in the Korean war and was discharged at the rank of staff sergeant. He earned a Bronze Star and several other medals for his service. Ken loved his radio-controlled model airplanes and was a skilled RC pilot. He helped to found the Holly Cloud Hoppers RC Club and was a member in good standing until his death. He also loved classic country music, 50's and 60's, and would spend many happy hours strumming along to his favorite tunes on his guitars. Ken and Carole also loved their many Shih Tzu dogs they owned over the years. Interment will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, on Wednesday, October 30th at 2:30 PM.
