Kenneth E. Nolot, affectionately known as Kenny or Gene to his family, passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on December 14, 1949, in Palmyra, Indiana.
Kenny will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Rosie Nolot, whose unwavering companionship and partnership brought warmth and joy to their family. He is also survived by his son, Chris Nolot, who, along with his wife, Tiffany, brought further light into Kenny's life with the birth of his beloved grandchildren, Brady and Brooklynn Nolot. Watching them grow and play sports was one of his proudest joys, and the bond he shared with them will forever be a treasured part of their lives. In addition, Kenny is survived by his sisters, Carol Nolot, Paula Nolot, and Barbie Acrey (Eddie), along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His faithful dog, Gracie, sat faithfully by his side, a constant reminder of the simple joys that Kenny valued so deeply.
Kenny was a member of the first graduating class of Floyd Central High School in 1968. A long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Kenny's faith was a guiding light in his life. Beyond his spiritual commitments, he committed himself to various hobbies that brought joy and creativity into his days. Kenny could often be found out on his motorcycle enjoying the freedom of the open road. His love for softball, euchre, and bowling resulted in countless fun-filled afternoons with friends and loved ones. Kenny's passion for woodworking showcased his talent and patience, with each crafted piece a testament to his skill and dedication.
Though he leaves behind a profound absence, Kenny Nolot’s legacy will live on through the hearts of those who loved him. As a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Kenny touched lives in ways that words can scarcely capture. He now reunites with his father, Paul Nolot, and mother, Barbara Lamb Vaughn, surrounded by the love that he so freely shared during his time with us.
