Kenneth Glenn Smethers, 84, passed away on January 4, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born August 14, 1937 in Weatherford, Texas. Kenneth was a Korean War Veteran and served our military with honor. He owned K S Construction and retired after 30 years. He took pride in driving through Tarrant County and seeing his work still standing strong while newer construction was falling apart already. In his younger years, Kenneth was known to rule the pool halls. He even played several national tournaments in Las Vegas. Kenneth always loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. After retirement, he and his wife, Barbara, set out to explore the United States in their RV. They lived life to the fullest and loved each other and the time they spent together.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Barbara, his daughter Linda Kennedy and her husband Patrick, daughter Cynthia Andreason, son Alan Smethers, daughter Juda Fritts and her husband Shawn, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Jasper Claude, his mother Virdie Mae, 6 brothers, 3 sisters and his beloved son-in-law, Paul Andreason Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Greenwood Community Cemetery.
