Connie Marie Smethers, 64, of Weatherford, passed away on November 16, 2021.
Connie was born in Weatherford on December 25, 1956, to Billy Gene Thomas and Eddie Marie Reddell.
Connie enjoyed being retired by keeping life simple; she enjoyed crotchet, watching movies and loved having a good lawn. When she wasn’t spending time doing the simple things in life, Connie was being “Nonnie”. Connie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything.
Connie’s loving presence will be dearly missed by everyone who got the chance to meet her.
She is survived by her husband, Cleve Smethers; and her two children, Cassie Markalonis (Nathan) and Casey Smethers (Sherie). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Alexus, Carson, Caitlin, Gage, Zane, Zach, Zaiden, and Aralyn; and two great great grandchildren, Beau and Amelia.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, on Sunday, November 21, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Curtis Cemetery, at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, November 22, 2021.
