Ken was one of the first males I met at Cornell. While I don´t recall any classes we were both in, much of our free time was spent together as we shared many friends. Ken and Brones were roommates and always together. When entering their room I was always amazed at all the "gadgets" that Ken had engineered! Ken was all about fun and convenience and he loved playing soccer. I was saddened with the news of his passing, far too soon for my liking. I was hoping to see him at our 50th reunion at Cornell. Prayers for his family. He will be missed. RIP Ken.

Ken was not only a friend, but a gifted soccer player. I was a teammate during four years of high school soccer, and Ken was as good a defender as we ever had. Funny story.......our senior season was very successful for us, as we made it pretty deep into the state tournament. Our next opponent was our nemesis, New Trier high school. But we knew we could beat them. Well........four days before our game, Ken was caught smoking outside the high school gymnasium. Our much disliked athletic director, who hated soccer and soccer players, kicked Ken off of the soccer team. As a result, we lost our match against New Trier, 1-0. I know in my heart, that if Ken had played, we would have beaten them.
Ken was also a friend off the field as well. We had so many good times. And my parents became very close with "Mr and Mrs" Springer.
I´m so sorry for your loss. I just don´t have words. But I am glad that Ken is no longer suffering.
Rest in peace my friend. You are missed.
