Kenneth Summerfield Obituary

Kenneth Dixon Summerfield, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025.

Devoted husband of Marlene Summerfield (nee Black) for 67 years. Beloved father of Stephen Summerfield (Lisa), Mark Summerfield (Donna), and Sharon Matulewicz (Stephen). Loving grandfather of Blake (Cathy), Justine (Bryan), Zachary, Eric (Kelsey), David (Brianna), Michael, Matthew, Mark (Sydney), and Meghan. Great grandfather of Emma, Bradley, Hailey, Harper, Jace, Bryson, Grace, and one more on the way. Dear brother of Lois King (George). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dixon Summerfield and Evelyn Avery and his brother Bruce Summerfield.

Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy in the submarine force. He was a devout Christian with an extremely strong faith. He was a long-standing member at Trinity Lutheran Church, Runnemede, New Jersey. Ken was also a family man, hard worker, and HVAC business owner of KenMark Refrigeration. He had a quick wit, a great sense of humor and always had a way of lifting your spirits. He enjoyed trains, crossword puzzles, BINGO, ice cream, Wawa, coffee, and listening and singing to classic Bluegrass, Country and Jazz music. He also cherished time with his life long friends. Above all else, Ken treasured his wife and family. He was never too busy to lend a helping hand or cheer from the sidelines for all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

We would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at All American Assisted Living and Suncrest Hospice for their tireless, tender, loving care for Ken to the end.

Fair winds and following seas Ken!
