May 4th, 2013, was the night I met the love of my life. We used to frequent a local bar in Ocala, Florida called Miss Lynn’s Country Saloon. This is the place we met with the help of my little sister Adrianna. I remember first seeing him at the bar and watching him dance. He could burn a hole into the dance floor when he lost himself in the music. There was something about him that told me he was the one. It was more in the way he carried himself like a true gentleman around everyone he encountered. He was all about being a gentleman and protecting the ones he loved so much in his life. But that night, my little sister secretly went outside to talk to him about me; how I was interested in him and wanted to have a dance with him. He walked back into the bar and asked me for my hand for a dance. The song that was playing when we graced the dance floor was Wanted by Hunter Hayes. That would be the night he danced away with my heart. From that night onward, we never spent another day apart. We got to spend eleven years loving each other; we spent eleven beautiful years building our lives together. We had been together for two years when we found out I was pregnant. I remember that night like the back of my hand. We would later make an appointment to see how far along I was in my pregnancy. Upon our visit, we found out I was eighteen weeks pregnant and that we were expecting a boy.
We would end up naming our little boy Avery Wayne Thebo. Our son would be born onNovember 13th, 2015 at 12:02 AM on Friday the 13th. He was over the moon over the birth of our son. He made it his life mission to take care of us both. He worked hard to provide for his family. He did whatever it took to make sure we were okay. He would always call from work just to check on us and tell us he loved us. After eight years together, we would end up getting married on January 15th, 2020, at the courthouse in Brooksville, Florida. It was a small and intimate ceremony with only family involved. We were married for four years, and they were the best years we spent together. He was loved by everyone who got the chance to meet him. He was always the one to crack jokes towards those he cared about. It was his own way of expressing his endearment towards people.
Ken went to rest in heaven on September 22nd, 2024. He will be missed by everyone who got the pleasure of being a part of his life. He left a legacy of memories that I will forever cherish when I think of him. Go rest high on that mountain high in the sky, my cowboy.
He is survived by his parents Sharon and Raymond Thebo, his siblings Tamera and Rick Thebo, his four adult children, his youngest son Avery Thebo, and his wife Ashley Thebo.
