With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kent Russell Minick, Sr., 77, of Manalapan, NJ, who peacefully passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at CentraState Medical Center. Born in Fairmont, Minnesota, Kent later made New Jersey his home where he built a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Kent had a distinguished career in banking, most of which he spent at Chase Bank and last worked with The Bank of New York in New York City. Known for his sharp mind and unwavering work ethic, he was respected by colleagues and deeply valued in his profession. Beyond his career, Kent will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and steadfast love for his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Alice Minick, as well as his loving wife Margaret Minick and brother Kurt Minick. He is survived by his son Kent Minick, Jr. of Manalapan, NJ; son Robert Minick of Brooklyn, NY and daughter Christine Marra (Peter) of Manalapan, NJ; brother, Wayne Minick (Kathy) of Faribault, MN, and his sister, Linda Anderson (Louis) of New Ulm, MN. His granddaughters, Julie Marra and Gianna Marra, will forever cherish the beautiful memories they shared with their beloved grandfather. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews nationwide.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, March 31, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Ocean View – The Cemetery Beautiful in Staten Island, New York.
