Lee was born June 17, 1968 and was a lifelong resident of West Monroe, Louisiana. Lee worked in the family auto business with his father, Kernel, Sr. He had an extensive knowledge of computers and held a great interest in Artificial Intelligence and robotics since a child. Lee was preceeded in death by his beautiful mother, Barbara Jean Hogard Hobgood; maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Dorothy Newsom Hogard; and paternal grandparents, Thomas Virgil and Violet B Coates Hobgood.
Lee is survived by his father, Kernel Lee Hobgood, Sr.; sister, Julia Kay Hobgood Camp and brother-in-law, Joffry Lee; along with other cherished family and friends.
His bright blue eyes, sense of humor and helpful nature leave an empty place in our hearts.
Pallbearers will be his cousins, Keith Hogard, Kevin Hogard, and Kreig Hogard, along with Randall Taylor Sr., Randall Taylor, Jr. and Danial Taylor.
Funeral services for Lee will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 14, 2025 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Bro. William Edwards will be officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
