Keven Dean Borkowski

Keven "Dude" Borkowski, aged 56, passed away on June 21, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Michigan City, Indiana. Born on June 2, 1969, in La Porte, Indiana, he was a beloved member of his community and family.
Keven, affectionately known as "Dude," earned the nickname "MacGyver" among those who knew him for his remarkable ability to fix almost anything. His resourcefulness and ingenuity were well-regarded, making him a cherished friend and family member. A passionate outdoorsman, Keven found joy in activities such as boating and camping, landscaping his life with rich experiences in nature.
He was an ardent fan of motorcycles and NASCAR, pleasures he pursued with enthusiasm. Dance music filled many of his gatherings, as he always enjoyed sharing a good time with loved ones while savoring a cold Miller Lite. As the "Fun Uncle," Keven had a unique gift for finding joy in life's simplest moments, creating lasting memories for his nieces and nephews.
Keven is survived by his son, Keven (Kielli Byers) Borkowski Jr.; his daughters, Ashley (Rayshun) Greer, Autum Rangel, Alexis Borkowski, and Khloe Borkowski; his brother, Edward (Linda) Borkowski; his brother, David (Denise) Borkowski; and his brother, Derek (Casie) Borkowski. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, including Richie, Emma, Hannah, Peyton, and Ezra, who brought him boundless happiness and pride as well as his life-long partner Crystal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gail (Skinner) Borkowski, and his sisters, Karla Spencer and Karen Spencer.
Keven’s vibrant spirit, coupled with his dedication to family and friends, ensured that he leaves a lasting legacy of laughter and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A life celebration will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Haverstock Funeral Home.
