Kevin Francis Dooley, 64, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on October 23, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1959, in Chattanooga, TN, and grew up on Signal Mountain. Kevin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had a passion for outdoor recreation, fishing, hunting, and his dedication to his family and community of friends. He was known for his adventurous spirit and his unwavering support for the Tennessee Vols and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kevin graduated from Red Bank High School (1979) and later pursued higher education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Susan, their son Kevin and his wife Anastasia, their daughter Erin, and their cherished grandson Evan. He is also survived by his brothers Rick (Jackie), Michael (Penny), Phil (Stormy), and Alan (Vicki), and his sisters Eileen, Karen (late Cliff) Ann (Tommy), and Joan (Mike). Kevin leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will always hold a special place in their hearts for him.
He was preceded in death by his father Patrick M. Dooley and mother Betty C. Dooley, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms in heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Princess Place Preserve on Saturday, November 11th, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. (2500 Princess Place Rd. Palm Coast, FL 32137). This serene location was chosen to honor Kevin's love for the great outdoors and provide a peaceful setting for family and friends to gather and remember him.
Kevin's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and zest for life will be deeply missed. May he rest in eternal peace.
Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I've only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me
not as I am now, but as I use to be.
Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile,
Understand, in your hearts, I've only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

I had a project that desperately needed IT help with. I was very nervous walking down the IT department because I was new to the company and to managing big projects. Then I met Kevin. He took me under his wing. He showed me so many ways to get to the information and present it to my team in a way that made me look smart! Over the years we became very close friends. He had a great laugh and was always a happy spot in my days with Kemper. I will pray the he will rest well until we meet in heaven. Love you Kevin.

I worked with Kevin at Kemper for many years. He will be missed dearly. Kevin was always there to provide guidance and to share fishing stories and tales of his Grandson. Please accept my deepest condolences for your families loss.
