Kevin Michael Emmerich

Kevin Michael Emmerich, 66, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at home in Hutchinson, KS. Kevin was born February 1, 1958 in Raytown, MO, the son of Joseph Emmerich and Joan (Appleby) Emmerich.
Kevin graduated from Benton High School in 1976 in St. Joseph, MO. He retired from National Credit Adjusters after 15 years. On May 3, 1980, Kevin married Brenda Cheatum in Hutchinson, KS. They were married for 44 years.
Kevin loved cruising and traveling, fishing, playing games, going to the casino, golfing, listening to John Denver, watching his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos but, what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #7279 and a faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Joan Emmerich; Father-in-law, Harold Cheatum and brother-in-law, Ron Dobson.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Brenda Emmerich; daughters, Ashley Emmerich of Wichita, KS, Courtney Emmerich of Hutchinson, KS; brothers, Kip Emmerich (Martha) of Topeka, KS, Kris Emmerich of Hutchinson, KS, Keith Emmerich (Shelly) of Hutchinson, KS; sisters, Kim Dobson of Houston, TX, Kandy York (Murry) of Mt. Vernon, TX; Mother-in-law, Shirley Cheatum of Hutchinson, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place per the family's wishes. Rosary will be at 9:30 A.M. with mass at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 3, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2631 Independence Rd., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 05:00P.M. – 07:00 P.M. with family present at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. The burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Reno County Cancer Council or Traditions Home Health and Hospice and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
