Henry Clay Emmerich, age 64, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on April 24, 2025, at Harry S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, with his beloved family by his side.
Born on January 22, 1961, in Eugene, Missouri, Henry was the son of the late Walter and Yvonne Emmerich. He proudly served his country for 25 years, first in the United States Marine Corps and later in the U.S. Army. A veteran of the Persian Gulf War, Henry exemplified courage, dedication, and loyalty throughout his military career.
Henry married the love of his life, Francine Flores, in Mississippi, and together they built a life full of adventure, laughter, and devotion. He was the Clyde to Francine's Bonnie, and the two shared a love for the open road, especially on his Harley.
A man of many passions, Henry enjoyed the thrill of scary movies, treasured Halloween as his favorite holiday, and loved spending time outdoors-fishing, hunting, and traveling with Francine by his side.
Henry is survived by his three children: Kimberly Standiford, Gary Standiford, and Samuel Standiford (Kelsey); three grandchildren: Ivan, Matthew, and Miles; and his sister Hermena Roddy (Ben). He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
