Kevin Goatley Obituary

Kevin was born on December 28, 1960, in Pana, IL, the son of Duane and Carolee (Tipsword) Goatley.
Kevin worked as a Sous Chef at Bauer's and the Crowne Plaza, was an avid bowler and bowled several 300 games. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, loved watching the Rams and Blackhawks and his beloved Chicago Cubs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Kevin is survived by his brother, Terry (Sunhei) Goatley; sisters, Linda (Randy) Billbe and Karen Brockman; nieces and nephews, Tina Brickey, Jennifer Farley, Jacob Billbe, Shannon (Mark) Owens, Ashley (Ryan) Fitzsimmons, Keir Goatley and Aaron Goatley as well as several great nieces and nephews; step-father, Fred Quattrin; aunt Georgia Culumber; great aunt Iva Fringer; great uncle Tracy (Daisy) Logsdon; and his best friends, Gary and Kathy Zimmerman.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2:00PM at Rochester Cemetery with Pastor Dustin Bramer officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at Topcat's starting at 4:00PM.
Funeral arrangements were provided by Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.

I grew up with Kevin, I was saddened to hear of his passing and have many fond memories of our younger days. Gary Zimmerman was spot on he was the original G.O.A.T.

GOAT. My best fiend, and my brother. We were best friends all of our lives, and he meant more to me than I could ever express. He showed my wife Kathy, and our sons Zachary and Tyler, the kind of love that was so special to them. We were truly members of each others families. The baseball, softball, bowling, basketball, and golf games we played together is in the thousands. Many of the most memorable moments of my life. He can never be replaced, and will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. He doesn't like being called "The GOAT" but he truly was, before "The GOAT" became a thing. Sorry my brother. but you deserve it. I think about you all the time, and often with tears in my eyes. Rest in peace, and we will be together again some day. Love you man!

Lots of fond memories with Goat from our days working together at Boar´s Head then at Baur´s. And many ballgames watched together. RIP to the world´s most devout Cubs fan.
