Kevin Christopher Hughes, 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by his fiancée, family and friends on July 9, 2024 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Kevin battled a lengthy struggle with several internal illnesses, the last two years being the most intense. He was born July 26, 1968 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard John Hughes and Sheryl Jean Hughes. Kevin is survived by his fiancée, Heather Fleagane; his brother Jeffrey Albert Hughes (Jackie) and his nephew Jeffrey Thomas Hughes.
Kevin Christopher Hughes attended Palm Beach Gardens High School in Palm Beach Gardens, FL before obtaining his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. He worked as a Chef at many prestigious restaurants including Dempseys in Palm Beach, Florida and several of the many restaurants at PGA National Resort for the majority of his career.
Kevin loved traveling to new places with the love of his life, Heather Fleagane experiencing new cultures and making new friends. Kevin also loved playing pool with his brother Jeff and shooting guns with his nephew but his favorite pastime was watching Pittsburgh Steeler football with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 12:30-3:30 pm at the Rivera Beach Marina Village Event Center, 190 E. 13th Street, Riviera Beach, FL 33404.
Services will start at 12:45 pm with food and beverages to follow.
Interment will take place at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH, at a later date.
Donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
