Following a brief battle with cancer, Pete passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 71.
Pete is survived by his wife, Linda McKinney Demus, daughters Michelle Demus and Christina Covey (Jeremy); grandchildren Bentley and Colton Covey and Abigail Demus; his siblings Pamela York, Penny McMahon (Patrick), Patrice Dyer and Phillip Demus (Beth); and nieces Cortney and Kellie and nephews Luke and Joe. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Rosemarie Demus.
Pete enjoyed traveling the world with his wife. He was a great dad to his daughters and loved being a Papa to his grandchildren.
Pete graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School and enjoyed many years in the security alarm business. He loved to laugh and make others laugh with his practical jokes. He had a passion for nature and tending to our landscape. He loved wildlife and was often referred to as the Critter Whisperer.
Pete loved the ocean and sunrises. On the morning of November 6, just as the sunrise shone upon his face, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly world to his eternal home in heaven.
The family will celebrate his life in a private service.
