Kimberly (Kim) A (Cvinar) Kalayjian, 53, of Beverly, MA entered into eternal peace on Thursday, July 24th. Born in Everett, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jean (Coady) Cvinar. She was the beloved wife to Matthew Kalayjian and devoted and loving mother to Samantha Jean Kalayjian.
Kim was a graduate of Salem State College where she received her degree in communications. She loved to travel, which included: France, Italy, Switzerland, England, Spain, Greece, Costa Rica and Mexico, camping, trips to Disney, spending time with her friends and family, and many other adventures as well. Kim was also exceedingly proud of her martial arts–based achievements. She was a passionate accomplished martial artist who achieved a 1st degree black belt in Shotokan karate from Ritch Angelo's Karate Academy where she taught the lower degree belt classes for many years. Kim also received a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo at D.W.Kim U.S. Taekwondo Center, where she continued to teach the lower belt classes as well. She worked at South Church Day School preschool where she loved working with the children. She was a natural teacher with a kind and compassionate heart who enjoyed every moment teaching the young minds. Kim was a strong believer in the values of a Catholic education for her own child. She was very proud of Samantha's accomplishments and the bonds she formed while at Saints Academy in Beverly.
Kim is survived by her husband Matt of 19 years and daughter Samantha of Beverly. She is also survived by her brother David Cvinar and his wife Sharon of Peabody MA, brother Dennis Cvinar and his wife Doris of Pelham NH, and her sister Denise Kilpatrick and her husband Kevin of Loudon NH, Mother In-law Nancy Kalayjian, and her brothers-in-laws, Craig Kalayjian, Ara Kalayjian and wife Tricia, David Kalayjian and wife Mindy, and George Hazerjian. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she had extremely special bonds with.
In addition to her parents, Kim is predeceased by her father in-law Robert Kalayjian, sister in-law Robin (Kalayjian) Hazerjian, brother in-laws Michael Kalayjian and Stephen Kalayjian as well as many aunts and uncles.
Friends and family are invited to Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA for visiting hours on Thursday, July 31st from 4pm to 7pm. Kim's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, MA on Friday, August 1st at 11am. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Beverly, MA.
