Kimberly Lynn Gerschow, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2024, at the age of 52. Born on May 24, 1971, to Frederick and Barbara (Teska) Gerschow in Port Huron, MI, Kimberly leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering passion.
Kimberly's journey was marked by her commitment to those she held dear and the pursuits that brought her joy. She was a graduate of Memphis High School, Class of 1989, where her warmth and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her professional journey led her to the Memphis party store, where her talent for crafting pizzas became legendary. Customers would specifically request her creations, a testament to her skill and the connections she formed within her community.
Later, Kimberly found joy and fulfillment at Meijer, where her generous spirit shone brightly. She delighted in spoiling her great-niece, Ella, with treats and toys, bringing happiness to her family with every thoughtful gesture.
Beyond her work, Kimberly was an avid reader, finding solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. The Library became her sanctuary, a place where she could immerse herself in literature and explore new worlds. Her love for reading was matched only by her passion for Detroit sports. Whether cheering on the Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, or Tigers, Kimberly's enthusiasm was infectious. At the party store, patrons would often drop by for lively conversations about the latest sports news, finding camaraderie in Kimberly's company.
Kimberly's memory will forever be cherished by her mother, Barbara Gerschow; brother, Fred Gerschow; nephew, Nicholas (Valerie Piascik) Gerschow; niece, Nicole (Ryan) Schall; and her beloved great-niece, Ella Schall. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Gerschow; grandparents, Harold and Bertha Teska, and Carl and Josephine Gerschow; and her cherished canine companion, Biscuit.
In honor of Kimberly's remarkable life, donations may be made to the Richmond Public Library, a place that held a special significance in her heart.
Kimberly Lynn Gerschow will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her zest for life, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity. Though she may have left this world too soon, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Forever in our hearts, Kimberly's light will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through the darkness with memories of her love and laughter.

I heard her giggling down in the freezer section of Meijer. Her infectious laugh could be heard for aisles. Kim and I had lots of laughs at Meijer. She will be truly missed...

Ive gone to school with Kim since kindergarten. I had my mom dig up these photos because I clearly remember my 6th birthday party that she came to. I was so jealous of her beautiful blonde long curls. Kim was a very kind person, to everyone. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her
