Kimberly Shanta Maxey

Kimberly Shanta Maxey, of Loves Park, IL departed this earthly life January 1, 2023. She was born May 21, 1974 in Vickburg, MS the daughter of Ella Maxey and Sylvester Boose. Kimberly lived in Rockford most of her life coming from Vicksburg. She was a member of Second Christian Church. Kimberly was employed as a Registered Nurse by OSF St. Anthony Medical Center five years before becoming ill. She graduated from Guilford High School Class of 1992 and later received her Bachelors Degree from Highland College.
Kimberly leaves to cherish many loving memories, three sons, Gregory Watson, Brendon Turner and Deterrius Bell; three daughters, Tanetra Bell, Tacoya Bell and Tynia Flores; 12 grandchildren; fiancée, Shayne Patterson; mother, Ella Maxey and father, Sylvester Boose; sister, Tasha Boose; three brothers, Wesley Villarreal, Sylvester (Toi) Villarreal, Antwan Maxey, Kordell and Kendell Boose; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandson, Rahshid Anderson; sisters Sharita Maxey and Erin Boose and god mother Joan Buford.
Services will be held 1:00p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc,. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
