For Colleen and Knut´s family, deepest sympathy for your loss of a caring, kind, and genuine being. I remember the first time meeting Knut with Colleen in Cornwall, and how he exuded calm, curious, and agreeable disposition. Not to mention very handsome and how happy and present he always amongst various company. I´m grateful to have met him and I think his being has left a mark on everyone he befriended and the world is better because of his actions, thoughts, and words. May he rest in peace!

My husband and I just saw this because we are watching the discus event in the Paris Olympics and looked up Knut's awards. We had no idea he was gone. It's always difficult to have a loved one go so suddenly. He was such a wonderful and warm person with an equally warm smile. The first time we met Knut and Debbie was in their Provo condo. We carpooled to Challenger Pre-school to take their daughter Kristin and our daughter, and Kristin was also studying violin like our girls. They were a wonderful family, and we were constantly amazed at how much food Knut had to consume on a daily basis to keep up his athletic ability with the discus. May you always cherish your wonderful memories of him. Much love, Robert and LeeAndra Lowe

I got a chance to meet Knut when I was his teammate in the Empire State Games that used to take place in NY. He won the games that year and I think he was in his 50's and still throwing it out there 160 ft. like it was nothing. I remember one of the biggest things I took away from throwing with him was watching a couple other younger guys that were also competing , try and psych him out and play little mind games with him to hinder his performance. But he was so head strong and rock solid that nothing got to him and he won that event that year in one of the last year's the games were ever held. It was an honor for me to throw along side a former olympian.

Dear Colleen and family
We are so sorry for the loss of your beloved Knut.
I knew Knut as a loving and caring person.
Knut and I were cousins, born in the same year, and our families were always close. I will forever cherish the many good memories of our childhood- in Ulvik and in Øystese.
In later years we lived far from each other, but I loved the moments we spent together and the mailcontact.
If I listen carefully I can still hear Knuts' special and contagious laughter.
Kvil i fred, gode Knut

Our shared love of Naples Restaurant will never be forgotten. We didn't know him well, but if he was in the front yard, whenever we passed the house, he waved and smiled.

Our deepest sympathies to Colleen and all of Colleen´s and Knut's family and friends. We are devastated to hear of the sudden loss of our friend. My husband and I have so many fun and happy memories of hanging out with the two of them from the time we all lived in NY and then having them move to Leesburg shortly after we moved to St. Augustine. We were a perfect foursome with Knut and my husband talking and laughing nonstop with each other while Colleen and I shopped, talked and belly laughed. Knut was a gentle giant with never an unkind word about anyone. He was calm, easy to talk to and we loved listening to him tell stories of his childhood and the beauty of his country, Norway. Our heart breaks for all of us left behind to mourn his loss.
Hvil I fred, Knut. Du vil alltid bli savnet . Vak over Colleen og hold henne sterk.
Love always,
Charlanne and Vinnie

My sincerest condolences to Colleen, and all the children and family of Knut.
We worked together and shared an office at West Point. While we coached different events, we shared training, and all aspects of physical performance.
He was a kind, thoughtful, caring, laughing, and great person. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched.

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing man.
We had the privilege of traveling to Florida with Graham so he could spend a week with his Bestin and Nanny Colleen. On the way to Florida, Graham educated us on Norwegian words and how excited he was to see his Bestin, Knut.
Knut and Colleen drove over three hours to meet us at the airport. The reunion was very special for all of them. When the week was over Graham was so excited to tell us all about the amazing week he spent with his Bestin and Nanny Colleen. He talked all the way back from Florida to New York.
Even though our time together was short, it was a pleasure to meet your Father and Colleen.
May your fond memories of him ease the pain of your loss. The world is a better place because he was here and touched so many people.
In sympathy and friendship,
JoAnne & Joe Sarubbi
