Kristie Renee Parrott Roberson

Kristie Renee' (Parrott) Roberson, 49, of Fayetteville, AR passed away suddenly on Friday, February 18th. Kristie is survived by her husband, Michael Roberson, sons Jordon and Jackson Brunner, brother Cortney Parrott, his wife Jamie, nephews AJ and Jimmy Parrott and niece Ella Parrott all of Fayetteville, AR, and her loving parents of Heber Springs, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was born on December 17, 1972, at the Naval Hospital on Marine Corp Air Station, Cherry Point, NC to Jimmy and Janice Parrott. She was a graduate of Heber Springs High School, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Arkansas State University and her Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Arkansas.
Kristie had a loving heart, a radiant contagious smile, and a tremendous love for music. An open mic guaranteed you were going to get the best rendition of Me and Bobby McGee you've ever heard. She passed that love of music to her sons. They often spent hours together playing the piano, the guitar or simply listening to her classic heavy favorites, Sir Elton, Fleetwood or Stevie, and her favorite Paul Simon maybe with Garfunkel, maybe not. She also loved to travel, especially Florida. If the Sunshine State was mentioned, she was ready to go, usually counting the days until the next trip to see Mike's parents in St. Augustine. But there was still one place that would always be her favorite, and that place was Greers Ferry Lake. From Kidney Cove, the African Queen, or Paw Paw's Pontoon, it didn't matter if it was floating with friends or tubing with her family, she never wanted to leave. She was even known to split a pair of flip flops between friends for a late-night trek through the woods in search of gas.
Kristie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister and was a friend to so many. She also had a love for stray dogs, refusing to shop for a puppy, insisted on adopting, and made sure to share every missing puppy in NWA. It is in that light, that we ask in lieu of flowers please consider donating to Heber Springs Humane Society.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, with services following at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Olmstead Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Heber Springs Cemetery.
