Kristin M. Carroll

Kristin M. Bindl-Carroll, 44, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Born
December 13, 1976 in Madison, Wisconsin, daughter of Raymond H. and Ilene (Ederer) Bindl.
Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Illinois State University and a
Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University in 2004. She married Travis Carroll at St.
Rita Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois on June 30, 2012.

Kristin worked as a Social Worker at Children's Home and Aid Society, Winnebago County
Cooperative, Stephen Mack Middle School, and at Whitman Post Elementary School in Rockton,
Illinois touching numerous lives doing the work she was meant to do. She had an incredible
kindness and a huge heart, and her legacy can be felt by the outpouring of support and the
stories shared by those she helped.

At home, she shared her heart with Travis and her boys, Brayden and Evan. They were her world
and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do to ensure their lives were filled with love and
happiness. She even had enough love to share with her beloved pugs Otie, Ruby, and Charlie.
After the passing of her dad, the three Bindl girls forged a bond of love that felt unbreakable.
Their nightly calls were the stuff of legend and they always had each other's back.

She will be remembered fondly for her infectious smile and laugh, her love for people, and her
gift for helping others. With an energetic personality and an amazing sense of humor, Kristin
dared to live life to the fullest and made it fun for all who were lucky enough to be in her
presence. She will be remembered as the most loyal friend, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, wife,
and mother we could have asked for – a shining light to many, extinguished far too soon.

Kristin is survived by her husband, Travis; sons, Brayden and Evan; mother, Ilene Bindl;
mother-in-law, Patricia A. Carroll; sister, Michelle (Chris) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Tara (Dennis)
Beitzel and Tina Robey; brother-in-law, Tyler (Laura) Carroll; nephews and nieces, Alyson and
Austin Anderson, Wesley, Shane, and Amber Beitzel, Noah and Kaleb Robey; and many aunts,
uncles, and cousins. Kristin was predeceased by her father, Raymond H. Bindl; her father-in-law,
Richard H. Carroll; and her beloved pug Otie.
