Kristin Cawthon Obituary

Kristin Leigh Cawthon, 43, passed away suddenly on January 10, 2024. Kristin was born on October 8, 1980, to Debbie and Skippy Cawthon at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, VA.
Kristin remained in Newport News for most of her life.
Kristin was greeted at the gates by many loved ones who preceded her in death, such as her mother and father, all of her grandparents on both sides, two of her lifelong best friends, Ryan Davis and Reagan Pardue, and many other relatives and friends.
Kristin is survived by her world, her daughter Brianna whom she was incredibly proud of. She is also survived by her sister Brooke, brother-in-law Michael and Niece, Ansley, and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kristin also had a group of friends who genuinely cared for her and were true positive and inspirational sources in her life.
Kristin had an enormously caring heart and would help anyone within her power. Some other things about Kristin were as a child, she was very acrobatic and climbed door jambs and used cabinet handles to climb onto the counters. Kristin's favorite movie was Pretty Woman. Kristin had many nicknames, one of which was Toots (short for Tootsie). Kristin was always afraid of Mr. Ben's Evil Eye. She loved creating dance routines (and she could dance!!!!) with Hopey to lots of music, but most remembered was Kris Kross's "Alright". Kristin was infatuated with ET as a kid and would run around rolling her fists yelling ET! ET!. There was an incident on the jungle gym. She swam like a fish from a very young age. She learned to ride a bike on the little brown glittery bicycle with the streamers. Kristin got caught smoking in the woods when she was little. She loved all animals, but her cats were Gizmo and Psycho, and of course Tanny.
There will be a celebration of life when the weather warms up so we can gather at Kristin's favorite place, the beach.
