Dr. Kristine Duffy

Dr. Kristine Mary Duffy passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the age of 74, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
Kris was born on December 21, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Dominican High School in Detroit. She then went to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, earning bachelor and master degrees before attending medical school at Wayne State University. Dr. Duffy opened a private OB/GYN practice in Wixom, Michigan where she saw patients from 1985 – 2019. She delivered approximately 6,000 babies throughout her career and earned the love and respect of her many patients and hospital colleagues.
In 1980 Kris married David Chardavoyne. They settled in Farmington Hills where they raised two sons, Colin and Mark. Kris lived life to the fullest and was passionate about many things including traveling, gardening, reading, baking, and life-long learning. She loved to host a large family Christmas celebration at her house every year.
Kris is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Chardavoyne and cherished sons Colin and Mark Chardavoyne. She was the dear sister of Carolyn Kaye, Kathleen Duffy, Thomas Duffy, Jr., Kevin Duffy, Laurel Anderson, Kimberly Duffy, the late Gail Duffy, and the late Terrence Duffy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, colleagues, and friends.
Memorial Service Saturday, November 23, 2024 12PM at AJ Desmond & Sons- Price Chapel, 3725 Rochester Rd., Troy (between Big Beaver and Wattles). Visitation at the funeral home begins at 10 AM.
