Kyle A. Pruden

Kyle A. Pruden, 32, of Painted Post, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Born on November 22, 1992, in Elmira, New York, Kyle was the beloved son of Timothy Pruden and Terry Ceasar. He graduated from West High School in 2011 and went on to study mechanics and welding at Corning Community College.
Kyle was a long time employee of Howell Packing in Elmira, where he built strong connections and lifelong friendships with his coworkers.
A true lover of the outdoors, Kyle had a passion for motorcycle and dirt bike riding. He was adventurous, mechanically gifted, and creative. He was always inventing and solving a problem, so much so his mother affectionately referred to him as "MacGyver." Kyle's gentle, calm demeanor and grounded spirit made him a step above a "nice guy." He was soft-spoken, kind, and loved to laugh with those he was closest to. An Eagle Scout, he enjoyed friendly competition with his scout leaders and was an avid target shooter.
Kyle found a deep love when he became a father. His son, Theodore, was a light in his life, and he shared a devoted bond with his stepchildren, Laylah and Oliver. Kyle's kindness was felt by all around him. His family meant the world to him.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Terry (Will) Ceasar of Bath; the mother of his child, Alisha Messina of Corning; his beloved son, Theodore Timothy Pruden; stepchildren, Laylah and Oliver; sister, Julie (James Dooley) Guarino of Guilderland, NY; step siblings: Dalton, Steve, Olivia, and Carson Ceasar; nieces and nephews: Jude, Jade, Evelyn, and Eleanor; and a large extended family and many friends who adored him.
He was predeceased by his father, Timothy Pruden.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Clute Memorial Park, 586 E. 4th St, Watkins Glen, NY, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Carpenter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
Kyle will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, loyalty, and generous heart.
