Kyle T. Swierczewski, age 40 of Fairview, passed away at home on January 27th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie on March 3, 1983 a son of Sheila Swierczewski and Dave Work and the late Thomas Swierczewski.

He was a 2001 graduate of Fairview High School. He received a Bachelor’s in Political Sciences from Edinboro University and a Master’s in Intelligence Studies from Mercyhurst University. Kyle loved to learn and would have been a professional student if he could have.

His true passion was his family business, Championship Awards, where he worked for over 25 years. He developed many close relationships with customers over the years and he cherished each and every one of them. He loved being able to work with his family. His customers, more often than not, became family.

He was an avid Cleveland Fan, in the Browns and the Indians. He loved coaching his kids’ sports. He enjoyed life, reading, and gardening. If you knew Kyle, you loved Kyle, he would do anything he could for others.  He will be sadly missed by his family, his friends, and his customers.

In addition to his mom Sheila and her husband Dave Work, he is survived by his wife Julia Dropcho Swierczewski; his children: Sofia and Amelia Swierczewski; his siblings: Taylor Janoski and her husband Jonathan of Pittsburgh; Grant Swierczewski and his wife Danielle of Lake City; John Swierczewski of Erie; Mike Swierczewski and his wife Pam of Girard; Ann Fellows and her husband Chet of Erie; Chris Work and his wife Aimee of North East; Chad Work and his wife Liz of Virginia; Nikki Work and her wife Amy of Erie; Ryan Work and his wife Amanda of Harbor Creek; Zach Work and his wife Katie of Erie; Steve Driscoll and his wife Kris of Pittsburgh; and in laws Michael and Cynthia Dropcho of Fairview. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott, Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. Erie on Friday, February 2nd from 3 to 7 pm and on Saturday February 3rd from 10 am until the time of service at 11am with Rev. Keith Sundberg officiating.
