Larry Aldrich, 74, of Lindsey, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on July 1, 1949 to the late Wilfred and Betty (Bohnhoff) Aldrich in Fremont. 

A graduate of Lakota High School, Larry went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1969-1971. 

On January 5, 1973, Larry married Karen Swartzlander and have shared 51 years together. 

Larry worked as an owner/operator truck driver, retiring in 2020. He had a love of farming and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen; children, Jeremy Aldrich of Fremont and Corey (Lisa) Aldrich of Lindsey; grandchildren, Derek Aldrich and Haleigh Aldrich; siblings, Juanita Patynko of Fremont, Fritz Aldrich of Racine, WI, Carol (Jim) Biehler of Fremont, Nancy (Bob) Pressler of Fremont, Brenda (Dennis) Herman of Mishawaka, IN, Tim Aldrich of Lindsey, and Todd Aldrich of Tacoma, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Leroy Swartzlander; mother-in-law, Jeanette Swartzlander; brother-in-law, Denny Patynko, and sisters-in-law, Judy Hendrix and Heike Swartzlander. 

The Aldrich family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Julie Shull and Ann Borer with Heartland Hospice for their attentive care. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, Gibsonburg with funeral services following at 12:00PM. Burial will be held privately for the family. 

Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Faith Lutheran Church.
