It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Wayne Barnette announce his sudden passing on August 1, 2025, at his home in Apopka at the age of 72. He was a Florida native born March 20, 1953 in Orlando. He attended Apopka High School, graduating class of 1971.
He enlisted in the USMC after graduation and was stationed in Parris Island and Okinawa. Serving as an MP and Aviation Boatswains Mates (Launch and Recovery). He served until 1975.
He loved the outdoors, air boating, hunting, and camping on the St John's River. He also had a love for Classic and Muscle cars.
Larry is survived by his beloved daughters, Tammy (Mike) Butt and Jennifer (Dustin) Peterson. Grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Caleb and Dalton. Great Grandchildren, Hailey, Kaison and Jaxxen. Brother Terry (Cheryl) Barnette Sister Daphne (Rick) Miles. Nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Larry is preceded in death by his Dad Billy "BD" Barnette, his Mother Joann Barnette and Sister Sharon Corder.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM September 20th, 2025 at Orange County VFW, 4444 Edgewater Dr. Orlando Florida 32804 Help us Celebration a life loved by many.
