Larry Creed Cain, 82, of Springdale, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born April 3, 1942, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Creed and Marjorie Binam Cain.
He married Marilyn Hammon of Midwest City, Oklahoma, in 1962. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1959, then served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the American Legion. Most of his life was spent in the family Cain Water Well Drilling business all over Northwest Arkansas. He loved trains and was a long-time member of the Arkansas Boston Mountains Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society in Springdale. He never knew a stranger and never forgot a face.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn (Hammon) Cain of Lowell, one son Barrett Cain of Lowell; one daughter Brenda (Roy) Luper of Lowell; one grandson Tyler Luper of Springdale; one grand-daughter Amanda Luper of Springdale; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sisters Sharon Giffin, Pamela Thibodeaux, Diana Reynolds, Jackie Voss, and Berlie Carter.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 17, 2025, at 2 PM, at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Interment will be at Alabam Cemetery in Huntsville, AR.
