Mr. Larry Edward Edwards

Larry was born in Alamance County to Norma Wyleene Webb Edwards and the late Larry Edward Edwards Sr. Larry grew up on the grounds of his father's beloved Cherry Hill Farm where he shared in his father's love for animals. Larry attended EM Holt Elementary and Southern Alamance High School. Larry had a love for cars and enjoyed working on them and keeping them in good running order. Being a teenager in the 1970's he loved to listen to the sounds of Queen and K.I.S.S. As he got older for many years Larry lived alongside his greatest friend and supporter his grandfather Rev. Raymond Webb whom he took care of until his passing. In his life Larry faced many challenges that placed him living in a group home setting. While he lived at these facilities his spirit of giving was well observed. The staff at the places he stayed always found it a joy to be around Larry as he always had an encouraging smile and a gentle spirit. In the past few months during his illness Larry was once again surrounded by his cousins and family that help Larry to remember and cherish the times in his life when things were happy and peaceful. He had a special bond with his cousin Maria who took upon the task of helping Larry and seeing him through until the day of his passing.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Larry Edward Edwards Sr. His grandparents Rev Raymond and Ruth Webb, Robert Edwards and Lucy Wade and one grandchild.
Larry is survived by his mother Norma Wyleene Edwards. Sister Jennifer Edwards Helton and husband Jon, Niece Addison Helton.
Former Spouse, Tina Clapp Edwards, Son Larry Edward Edwards III and spouse Tracy and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held to remember and celebrate Larry's life at Chatham Friends Church 4507 Greenhill Rd Snow Camp, N.C. on Sunday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall.
The family would like to thank the staff at Authora Care Hospice Home in Burlington and cousin Maria Parker Hoyt for all their care and support during this time.
