Lawrence "Larry" Allen Grime, a gentle soul and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Born in Bryan, Ohio, Lawrence lived a life marked by dedication, intellect, and creativity.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Wendy, and their cherished daughter, Alexandria. His unwavering love and commitment to his family were the cornerstones of his life.
A proud graduate with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Larry focused his career on nuclear safety, later earning an MBA from the University of Toledo where he was a founding member of Triangle, the Honorary Fraternity of Engineers. He worked at the Davis Besse Nuclear Power Plant and eventually became a self-employed consultant and educator in nuclear safety, sharing his expertise with integrity and passion.
Larry's entrepreneurial spirit first emerged at Douglas Radio, one of Toledo's first color TV repair shops, followed by the formation of AcroServices, where he provided consulting, training and programming for businesses around America. His professional accomplishments were matched by his vibrant personal interests—as an avid gardener, painter, poet, public speaker, and for a small stint - a stand-up comedian, bringing joy and laughter to those around him even in his final days.
Known for his humility and warmth, Larry often used the term “adequate,” to describe wine, dinner, the view, clothing choices, or music. His favorite way to end a call, email, text, or conversation was saying "let's make it a great day", a saying by which his family and friends will continue to take to heart in their lives.
