Larry Melvin Huse, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home in Noblesville, Indiana on January 21, 2026, just days before his 83rd birthday. He was born on January 26, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Charles Evans and Wilma Hiday Huse.

Following his graduation from Anderson High School, he entered into an apprenticeship program that would lead him to a successful career as a pipefitter with General Motors. He later served as a union committeeman, dedicating himself to the betterment of current and future UAW employees. His career was defined by hard work, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. During his service, he was stationed in Korea and ultimately attained the rank of sergeant. His time in the Army helped shape the strong sense of responsibility, leadership, and compassion for others that guided him throughout his life.

For more than 60 years, Larry was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Marcia Hudson Huse. Together, they built a life rich with love and memories, including many family adventures in their motor home. Their travels took them to treasured destinations such as Yellowstone National Park, Olympic National Park, Zion National Park, Estes Park, and his favorite place of all, Lake Powell. These journeys reflected Larry’s deep love for family and the outdoors—a passion he shared wholeheartedly with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia; his two daughters, Tracey Livingston and Amber (James) Tooley; and his four grandchildren, Ryan and Shane Livingston, and Lauryn and Jada Tooley. His family was the center of his world, and his legacy lives on through each of them.

As they mourn his passing, Larry’s loved ones also celebrate a life marked by devotion to family, pride in his work, and honorable military service. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A private inurnment will take place at Anderson Memorial Cemetery.
