Larry Paul Lacher

Larry was born at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, MN on December 17, 1947. He lived in Bloomington, MN for most of his life. He was confirmed at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church. Larry graduated from Bloomington Senior High School Class of 1965. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge as a Sergeant E-5 on May 25, 1971. Larry attended Normandale State Junior College and received his Degree of Associate in Arts with honors in December 1971. He was also a member of the Marine Reserve and received his honorable discharge on August 10, 1981. He worked in industrial sales for the majority of his career and he retired in 2005. Larry and his wife Val spent many years of their retirement in Lake Shore, MN on Gull Lake where he liked to boat and fish and they would often enjoy the Bar Harbor Supper Club. Larry was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019 and was cared for at home by Val until he was moved to Good Samaritan Specialty Care center in Robbinsdale in October 2024 where he lived with assisted care.
