Larry O'Shasky, age 66, of Rudolph, WI went to heaven on April 14, 2022 due to complications of kidney disease.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. Rev. Clayton Elmhorst will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Tuesday at 9:45 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
He was born on January 9, 1956 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Bud and Janet (Gumz) O'Shasky. He married Bobbi Hartjes on April 11, 1981 at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Rudolph, WI.
Larry was a millwright by trade and worked a full career in the Wisconsin Rapids paper mill. Together they had three daughters, Terri, Amy and Jackie. Larry was very involved in coaching sports while his girls were growing up. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, field trials and raising dogs.
In retirement Larry and Bobbi could be seen cruising the neighborhood on their UTV visiting neighbors. He spent countless hours on his tractor working on his woods. Every spring they collected maple sap, which became a highly anticipated family and friends' activity. Larry was always surrounded by his girls while enjoying campfires, pond parties, or sitting in the shade under the pear tree. Larry was the absolute best grandpa, spending long weekends and summers with Cole and Zoey. He always had an adventure planned for them. During the week you could find Larry and John Baneck sitting at "The Hop," enjoying breakfast and visiting for hours.
Larry is preceded in by death by his father, Bud and sister, Joan Elliott.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi; daughters: Terri (Chad) Normington, Amy (Sean) Yach, Jackie (Kenny) Barlow; mother, Janet O'Shasky; siblings: Kathy (Jack) Tauschek, Kevin (Lynn) O'Shasky, Mark (Lisa) O'Shasky, Jill (Bob) Piatt and grandchildren; Cole and Zoey Normington.
