Larry P. Perlee

Larry P. Perlee, 72, Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  He was born March 16, 1951, in Frankfort to Marion and Wilna (Noble) Perlee.  He married Tresa Howe on June 8, 2002, and she survives.

 

Larry was a 1969 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. He was the owner of Perlee Construction for 44 years.  He enjoyed going to the lake, boating, fishing, camping, going to NASCAR races, and pitching horseshoes.  He was a hardworking man and spent a lot of his time working.  But above all, Larry was a family man and loved spending time making memories with his family.

 

Along with his wife of 21 years, Larry is survived by his daughter, Delaina (Tommy) Plahitko; stepchildren, Shane (Rachel Wilson) Pyle, Sarah Perez, and Andrea (Jason) Langkop; brother, Dan (Tressa) Perlee; grandchildren, Jacob, “Scooter,” Cheyanne, Macy, Alyson, Austin, Peyton, Isabella, JR, Jaidyn and Keyton; and a great grandchild, Caylianna.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ollie Perlee.

 

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
