Larry Pinkerton, age 87, of New Hope, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024. He was born May 1, 1937 in Athens, Arkansas to Grady and Ova Pinkerton. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Kitchens.
Loving survivors include his wife of 68 years, Belva (Young) Pinkerton; daughter, Debbie Kitchens (Scott) of New Hope, AR; son, Tim Pinkerton (Dena) of Nashville, AR; grandchildren, Jessi Banister (Josh) of Umpire, AR and Lauren Zylks (Josh) of Nashville, AR; great grandchildren, Jackson Banister, Grady Banister, Abigail Zylks and Ella Grace Zylks; sister, JoAnn Dalrymple; and numerous close family members and friends.
Larry enjoyed being out in nature hunting and fishing, working in his shop, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family. He attended Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Athens Missionary Baptist Church with a celebration of life service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Brothers Scott Kitchens and Don Vaughn will officiate.
Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Josh Banister, Jackson Banister, Grady Banister, Josh Zylks, Scott Vaughn and Marty Young.
Honorary Pallbearers are R.H. Pinkerton, Johnny Kirkpatrick and Bobby Sharp.
The family would like to extend thanks to the caring staff at Dierks Health and Rehab Center.
