Larry Ronald Pratt, known by Ron, 76, Lakeview, Ohio passed away on September 20, 2024.
Ron was the son of the late Charles Edward and Lynchia Elizabeth (Christian) Pratt, and was born March 9, 1948, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Ron will be greatly missed by his wife: Laura, Lakeview, Ohio; by his children: Amanda (Daniel) Caraway, Covington, Georgia; Kara Pratt, Covington, Georgia; Travis (Stephanie) Schwer, Lakeview, Ohio; Tohnee (Charles) Kronk, Urbana, Ohio; and Cheryl (David) Arndts, Lakeview, Ohio; by his grandchildren: Natalie Parham, Kylie Compton, Calvin (Sparky) Kronk, Charlotte (Charley) Kronk, Caiden Schwer, Xavier Schwer, Layne (Bubby) Schwer, Cheyenne Inskeep, Ruby Inskeep, Kaylee Arndts, Ashlynn Arndts, and Emily (Emmy Lou) Arndts. Ron also leaves behind his brothers: Kenneth (Jean) Pratt, Bucyrus, Ohio; Vernon Pratt, Gallipolis, Ohio; and Oliver (Ronnie) Pratt, Riverview, Florida; sisters: Elizabeth "Betty" Stokes, Poplarville, Mississippi and Sandra "Marie" Greene, Bidwell, Ohio and many nieces and nephews who will miss him as well. Ron is preceded in death by his brother, James Concie Pratt and granddaughter Ryleigh Schwer.
Ron was a hard worker. He spent his life working in various factories, from Marblecast and BF Goodrich to Quaker Oats, Belmar, and Honda Transmissions. He was a dedicated employee, and a good guy, though depending on who you asked, he sometimes had an attitude problem, although it was never a problem for him. It was a source of pride that he did things his way and most people liked that about him. If you were a friend of his, you had a loyal friend in him. If you were family, you were well loved. He wasn't great at using the phone, but if you called him, he was there for you. He knew his faults and called himself the black sheep. If you could overlook the quirks, my dad was funny, sarcastic, and knew how to have a good time. He was a pretty good softball coach, but he was a terrible golf coach, played a mean air guitar, loved to garden, and was great at woodworking. He was always tinkering with many projects that he had no trouble starting but some trouble finishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. And I know he loved his boys (son and grandsons), but he always had a soft spot for the girls (wife, daughters and granddaughters) in his life. We love you forever dad! Thanks for everything you did for us. Amanda and the family

Larry was my "boss" at Quaker many years ago. The great thing was, he was a friend also. He talked about you kids and would always tell us what you were "up to" and "in to". His face always lit up even though he was shaking his head smiling. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that your memories will help to bring a smile to your broken heart.
