Larry Dwight Roberts, 72 of May passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. Larry's family will be hosting a visitation Friday, August 1st from 6 to 8 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 2nd at 10 AM in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Larry was born on March 12, 1953 in San Diego, Ca to Donald and Louise Roberts. He attended school at Kermit High School until joining the US Navy.

Larry married Janet Roberts on October 26, 1996 and began a life together with a blended family of 7 children. Larry volunteered for the May Volunteer Fire Department, was a Certified EMT, Long Haul truck driver for 27 years, and finished out his career at City of Brownwood Sanitation Department. He loved to ride motorcycles. He was a big fan of the May Tiger Football and Friday Night lights and was a May Tiger Booster. Larry loved his family and the annual family reunions and also loved his dog.

Larry is survived by his sons, Christopher Roberts and wife Sara of Big Spring, TX and Colby Roberts of May, TX; Shana Petkus and husband Kyle of Harleton, TX, Kelsie Roberts of Abilene, TX, Denise Garcia and husband Tony of San Marcus, TX and Kari Roberts of Milwaukee, WI; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Dwayne Roberts and wife Debbie, Donnie Roberts and wife Marneice; sisters, Denise Martin and husband John and Kathryn Harrell and husband Michael; lots of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Roberts, son Troy Roberts, step daughter Stephnie Flannery and parents Donald and Louise Roberts.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to: Corinne T. Smith Animal Center, 3016 Milam Dr, Brownwood, TX 76801.
