Larry D. Shiffer

RIFE - Larry D. Shiffer, age 85, of Millersburg (Rife), PA died April 18, 2025, at home.
He was born on April 27, 1939 in Washington Twp., PA the son of the late Roy and Carrie (Row) Shiffer.
Larry was married to the late Anna (Stoneroad) Shiffer for 59 years.
Larry attended "the little red schoolhouse" in Washingtown Twp., and Millersburg School District. He retired as the owner of Lykens Valley Roller Mills (Shiffer's Mill), where he began to work as a child.
He was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Rife where he served on the council and was a former Council President, a member and former president of the Men of Zion, and he was the former president of the Zion Cemetery Association.
He was a member of the PA Manufacturer's Association, a member of PennAg Industries Association, and a member of the FFA Millersburg Chapter. Through the Mill he was a supporter of the Upper Dauphin County Livestock 4-H Club.
His passions were his church, his family, and his business. He enjoyed watching sports on television especially the Phillies and Steelers.
He is survived by his daughters Debbie Warshefski (Keith) of Millersburg, Kathy Shoop (Jim) of Halifax, grandchildren Megan McCreary (Ben), Kayla Harbert (James), Eli Shoop (Danielle), Ike Shoop, great grandchildren Ireland, Maverick, and Hannah and step-great grandchildren Taden and Archer. He is also survived by his brother The Rev. Eugene L. Shiffer, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, April 25, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church Rife from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday morning, April 26, 2025 from 10-11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Zion Cemetery, Rife.
