Larry Transou Obituary
He was born April 18, 1956 in Forsyth County to the late James Transou and Mary Hunt Williams. Larry was a 1976 graduate or Reynolds High School. Larry worked as a Press Operator before retiring from Jostens formerly Hunter Publishing Company. Larry was a devoted Volunteer Firefighter with the Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department in Forsyth County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and building things. He loved Christmas and collecting Santa Clauses.
Larry is survived by his wife Cheryl Transou; sister, Patti (Russell) Shew of Pfafftown; daughters, Monica (Joe ) Martin of Salisbury, Samantha (Bryan ) Anderson of Salisbury, Angela Montgomery of Smithfield, and Tiffany Transou of MI; granddaughters, Michelle Young, Hailee Martin, Paislee Martin, Shelby-Jo Martin, and Jade Transou; grandsons, Cooper Martin and Rowan Transou; great-grandson, Barrett Young; and nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a later date.
