Larry G. Watkins, age 64, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025 at his home. He was born May 22, 1961 to Sam and Molly Watkins in Tate, Georgia.
Larry had an extraordinary love for life and for others. He was the greatest Poppa, an amazing dad, a caring brother, and a loyal friend.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jackie Watkins of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Briana Norton of Jasper; "son", A. J. Norton of Jasper; grandchildren, A. J. Norton of Jasper, Jamesen Norton of Jasper, Beau Norton of Jasper, Falon Norton of Jasper; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Virlyn Estes of Jasper, Ann Wigington of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, John and Nancy Watkins of Jasper; brother "son" and sister-in-law, Steve and Kathy Watkins of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Watkins; his mother, Molly Watkins; and brother, Walter (Sonny) Watkins.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Rudy Tribble, Reverend Cody Ray, and Brother Brody Buckner officiating. Interment will follow in the Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 2094 Fortner Road; Ball Ground, GA 30107.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 9:00a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
