Larry "Jim" Williams, 79, of Troy, Missouri, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 5, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Friday, December 1, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in St. Charles, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was retired from Marquette Tool and Die in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the IMA Local 1345 of St. Louis, MO. He loved music and loved to sing. He also enjoyed playing poker. Jim was very proud of his Native American Heritage.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Williams, nee Rarden; his first wife (mother of his children), Katie Williams, nee Jundt; his second his parents, Joseph and Thelma, nee Bedwell, Williams; a grandson, Timothy Johnson; a brother, John Williams.
Surviving are his children, James Williams of St. Louis, MO, Anthony (Elaine) Williams of Godfrey, IL, Scott (Lisa) Williams of St Charles, MO, and Melissa (Kevin) Johnson of Troy, MO; a sister, JoAnn Williams of Hemmett, CA; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Ashley) Johnson, Tony (Amanda) Williams, Amanda (Adam) Parkus, Tara (Zach) Williams, Austin (Bre) Williams, Ashley Williams and Brett Johnson; and 15 great grandchildren. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
