Laura Kropelnicki

Laura (Malczyk) Kropelnicki, 95, of New Haven, CT died peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Kazimer Kropelnicki. Laura was born in Pikule, Poland on November 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Jozéf and Katarzyna Malczyk. She lived in Germany for several years before immigrating to the U.S. in 1951, residing in New Haven for the past seventy one years. She worked for Winchester Repeating Arms (later Olin Corp.) of New Haven for many years, retiring in 1991. Laura is survived by two daughters, Mila Sprague of Meriden and Barbara (Antoni) Fekieta of Wallingford, one sister, Helen Kostrzewa of New Haven with whom she resided, five grandchildren Justin, Jordan and Elissa Evanauskas, Renee (Keith) Albert and Diana (Luís) Martínez, five great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Laila and Leo Martínez, Luc Albert and Aniela Evanauskas and a great-great-grandson Ezra Martínez. She was predeceased by her infant son Richard Kropelnicki, her grandson Erik Evanauskas and three brothers, Stanislaw, Wladyslaw and Tadeusz Malczyk.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, December 2nd at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven at 11:00 a.m.. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. washingtonmemorialfh.com
